1991 Topps Archives 1953 Baseball Cards

These cards are a REPRINT of the original 274 Cards 1953 Topps Set, with the exception of Card No. 174, Billy Loes.
Loes would not give Topps the permisson to reprint his cards. Also note that cards #253, 261, 267, 268, 271 and 275 were not
issued in the 1953 Set; thus they do not exist in the 1991 Reprint set either.
The 274 (-#174) cards are supplemented by an additional 57 cards.
These include Mrs. Elaneor Engle, Hoyt Wilhem, 1953 Hall of Fame inductees Dizzy Dean and Al Simmons, and 'prospect' Hank Aaron. |
