A little info regarding Ty Inc and Beanie Babies. In 1986 the Ty Corporation was founded in Oak Brook, Illinois. Ty Warner had previously worked for a toy plush manufacturer called Dakin and was already a toy selling pro. His first line of plush animals where 4 Himalayan cats named Smokey, Ginger, Peaches and Angel. The first Ty Beanie Babies cats and dogs would come 7 years later.
